This is where it often begins. 🌿

Not with a sketch or a fixed idea, but with a feeling.

The colours of a landscape, reflections on water, changing light, the quietness of a place. I collect these impressions without really thinking about what they might become.

Later, in the studio, they often find their way into my paintings – transformed into colour, layers, texture and movement.

Nature is not something I try to paint.
It’s something I try to remember.
